About me

Prof. Mayssoon Dashash is a Professor in Damascus University. She is also the director of the Medical Education Program in the Syrian Virtual University.

Prof. Dashash completed her PhD from the University of Manchester, UK in 2005 and her membership from the Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh (MFDS RCS), UK in 2008 and Master degree in Medical Education from the University of Dundee in 2023.

She was an honorary staff in the University of Manchester (2004-2008) and was the director of the directorate of evaluation and accreditation in the Ministry of Higher Education between 2011 and 2021. She was also the founding General Director of the Centre of Measurement and Evaluation in Higher Education in Syria between 2013- 2021. Prof.Dashash has more than 75 international publications in medical education, curriculum planning, measurement and evaluation, E-learning, quality assurance and accreditation as well as she is a co-author of several intentional books published by springer.

Pro. Mayssoon Dashash won a Unilever poster prize of the British Society of Dental Research in 2003 and won the Scientific Research Award of Damascus University in 2014 and won the AREP-TWAZ of The World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries in 2023.
